Description of the Institution
The mission of the Soča Valley Development Centre (PRC) is to establish a model of sustainable development in the region which enables a balanced improvement of economic, social and environmental prosperity of people in three Soča Valley municipalities: Bovec, Kobarid and Tolmin. It is embedded in the Regional Development Agency of North Primorska which covers 13 municipalities. PRC has rich experience in operating in mountainous rural areas with low population density. It is responsible for drawing up development programmes for the region.
Description of Competences – referring to the Project
PRC is an experienced partner in European Territorial Cooperation projects and other EU funded projects. Besides several national projects PRC cooperated and cooperates in cross-border and transnational projects. The most related to the AlpBC project are:
- CEC5 – Demonstration of energy efficiency and utilisation of renewable energy sources through public buildings, Central Europe programme;
- CABEE – Capitalizing Alpine Building Evaluation Experiences, Alpine Space programme;
- ALPSTAR – Towards Carbon Neutral Alps – Make best practice minimum standard, Alpine Space programme;
- ENERBUILD – Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies in the Building Sector in the Alpine Space, Alpine Space programme.
